Alpas Ave

The Copenhagen based dup, consisting of Marianne Ernst Dam (she/her) and Martin Pilgaard Grishauge (he/him), crafts intricate universes where pop elements blend with dark, alternative productions. Their sound hits like a thunderstorm in slow motion – ominous and captivating all at once.

On Alpas Ave's forthcoming debut album, The Woman in Ashes (November 1st, 2024), the duo delve deeper into imaginative soundscapes where acoustic guitars, heavy sub-bass, and primal synthesizers frame Marianne’s ethereal vocals—creating a work that explores themes of anger, euphoric freedom and womanhood.

Alpas Ave made their debut on the danish music scene at the beginning of 2020, and the following year, they released their critically acclaimed debut EP, Black Mirror (2021). The EP was highlighted as one of the week’s most important releases by Soundvenue, received five stars from GAFFA Denmark, and earned the duo a pre-nomination for GAFFA Prize 2022 in the category of Best New Danish Act.
