Anders Bast

Anders Bast is a Danish saxophonist and composer educated at the West Jutland Conservatory, the New England Conservatory in Boston, and the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, and a former student of jazz legend Jerry Bergonzi.

His sound blends jazz, improvisation, world influences, and modern Nordic expression, characterised by a warm, organic tone and strong melodic storytelling.

He has collaborated with artists such as MØ, MC Einar, Django Bates and George Russell, appearing on numerous acclaimed recordings.

Bast has released several albums under his own name and contributed compositions across a wide range of projects.

He is currently a core member of the Scandinavian ensemble Quintus, contributing as soloist, composer, and arranger.
