Central to my music is the storytelling and journey that the listener is taken on. By combining scandinavian lyrics and pop sensibility, with the sincerity of southamerican folk music mixed with Los Angeles inspired sonic references, I’ve created a sound that is not represented elsewhere. It is an expression that is not tied to a certain genre, but instead provides a new take on how jazz can sound in 2025 and in the future. It’s the sound of big dreams, concrete suburbs, wide plains, silence and nostalgia.
I’m a Swedish/Danish guitarist, songwriter and composer, born and raised in Stockholm. With a music teacher and an architecture critic as parents, the importance of finding and creating beauty was made very clear to me from an early age.
After 18 years in Sweden I moved to Copenhagen. There, I met many inspiring artists and musicians and became a member of the critically acclaimed jazz/soul band; “David Miilmann Group”.
I am currently based in Paris.
