Disco. The Cat.

Disco. The Cat. is a studio-based electronic project exploring deeper, darker corners of electronic music, moving between techno, deep house, and slower, more hypnotic forms.

Named after a neighbour’s cat, the project pairs a light origin with a serious focus on mood, restraint, and atmosphere. Tracks are often built on simple progressions, then expanded through complex harmony, evolving textures, and detailed sound design.

Created entirely in the studio, Disco. The Cat. leans heavily on analogue synthesis and sampling, with a particular affection for classic Roland instruments, like the Juno-106, JX-8P, TR-909 and TB-303.

The result is electronic music that favours groove, tension, and depth over immediacy.
