Frederik Wessberg first entered the Danish music scene at a young age, writing and releasing a mix of covers and original compositions on MySpace and YouTube, and later fronting the Copenhagen based Pop/Rock band Searing Solace, on guitars and vocals. Son of two jazz musicians who lived by their craft, Wessberg was raised in the industry. Growing up in a home full of instruments, Wessberg became a multi-instrumentalist from a young age. In 2009, at the age of just 17, he earned airplay on the biggest radio station in Denmark, DR P4, with Searing Solace’s ‘What You’ve Never Seen’, a song he wrote, recorded, mixed, and self-distributed from his bedroom a year prior. Wessberg and the band released an ambitious music video in 2010 for their next single release ‘It’s Not Over’, followed by their debut album ‘Time of Transition’ in 2011, an album the band produced, mixed, and released themselves, while Wessberg was just 19 years old.
