Jens Jeppesen

Jens Jeppesen has been playing music since he was given a harmonica by his father at the age of 6. It was later supplemented with singing and guitar.

He grew up in an artist family in a small fishing village in the north part of Jutland in Denmark, where painters, musicians and fishermen had their daily routine in the home. Originals that have since been a great source of inspiration.

He has stuck to singing by playing the guitar and performs in many different musical contexts.

Jens Jeppesen has released 4 albums “Fjordsind”, “Er vi oven vande nu?”, “Østerland” and "Back to now". He is responsible for the lyrics and music himself. The music genre is a cocktail of cozy rock/blues, country, folk and swing, and the instrumentation ranges just as widely.

The texts deal with, among other things life and moods at the Limfjorden. The then little boy's meeting with the old eel fishermen.

"In order to understand the present and oneself as a human being, one must acquire knowledge of one's origins and thus consult the past. I have been lucky to experience life in and around the Limfjord up close. A fjord that has gone from being one of Northern Europe's most species-rich fishing waters to today being an ordinary and fish-poor water. I wonder how quickly a culture basically weathers and disappears under the feet of us all. This is where the ideas for my songs come from!”
