«Pull Yourself Together» by Merete Mongstad is the name of her first single as a soloartist. «Pull Yourself Together» is about being invisibly chronically ill, how it feels, the shame (of not functioning properly) and trying to hide it from the world.
She is recently known from the duo «The Silence Is Out Of Tune», and before that the 2000-era Kyed,, (DK) and (N). Kyed is on the soundtrack of cult motion picture Pusher etc.
As a true Indie Artist, and a one woman band, writing, she is writing, producing, mixing and mastering herself. «I didn’t want to depend on someone else to get my music made and ready», she says. «Being a sound designer for movies, theatre and arts, knowing the tools and already having a studio, made the road short to take xtra online education in music production».

For the visuals of this release, she has been collaborated with her friend photographer Nadine Martinuzzi.
The rest, messing it up with graphic design and cover-art, she has done her self, even though she is a totally uneducated in that field. «I need to try, as a part of the personal and independent process», she says. «I have qualified people I can ask for feedback, so I am hoping that will save it from turning out disastrous. Also my solo project is about showing myself, so I am hoping for the unperfected to come through as honest, at the best case scenario unique, hopefully through a lot of Art By Accidents».
