merphi

merphi is a Danish artist and songwriter based in Stockholm. Her music lives in the contrast between soft and abrasive, organic and synthetic, intimate and overwhelming, combining visceral, image-driven songwriting with glitchy, distorted textures and traces of the alternative music she grew up with.

After a period away from releasing music, merphi returns with her debut EP morphing into you, a more fully realised introduction to her artistic world. Rooted in her experiences with neurodivergence and unhealthy relationship dynamics, the EP explores identity loss, codependency, and the ways we reshape ourselves around others to feel loved and belong.

Ahead of its release, songs from the EP have already found their way onto New Music Friday Denmark and received support from Danish music media including Puls., BEAT and Bands of Tomorrow, as well as airplay on UK radio.
