NRG plays alternative rock and roll, garage punk and post-hardcore with surf tendencies and other anomalies. The band members are based in Denmark.
The line-up is Kim Ingemann (guitar, vocal), Claus Lindhardt (drums) and Uffe Ejlerskov (bass).
NRG released the album “Ohm” in April 2020 through The Very Records. Their second album "Nu" was released in April 2022.
In April 2024 the band released their album "Twist And Shut Up" featuring the more surf and twist inspired part of their repertoire.
In March 2025 the early single "Sort / Kulturel Forvaltning" (1984) as well as the early mini-album "Aber Mein Liebchen" (1986) were released digitally.
The EP “Asfalt Reworks” released in April 2025 contains five tracks linked in a suite-like structure. The project is a cooperation between NRG and four composers/sound designers that made the new music from elements of the track “Asfalt” released by NRG in 1986.
