Nuaia

Heartfelt art-pop from one of Scandinavia’s most exciting groups

Nuaia invites the listener into a sonic world where alternative pop, free improvisation and electronica meet. Intimate songs, open textures and deeply personal stories unfold through vocals, drums, acoustic sounds and electronic landscapes.

Some of the new music leans towards songs, while other pieces move more freely through improvisation and atmosphere. Throughout the album, intimacy and expansiveness coexist, as do vulnerability and strength, leaving space for presence, listening and transformation.

On the Album "The Other Language", Nuaia explores communication on both a micro and macro level – the invisible threads that connect us to one another and to the world around us. In symmetry with the surrounding world, we come into being – and can stretch out into the universe.

Line up:
Sofie Norling: vocals and live electronics
Mika Forsling: modular synths, pianette, electric guitar and cristal baschet
Michala Østergaard-Nielsen: drums and percussion
