PRETEXT is a Denmark-based metal band blending crushing grooves with dual male and female vocals, delivering politically charged lyrics that confront collapse, inheritance, and resilience in the modern world.
(Formed in 2016, the band released two independent EPs before solidifying its current lineup and sound. Their debut full-length album, Riot of the Ruined (8 tracks), is finished and mastered -( a heavy, cinematic record shaped by lived experience rather than abstraction.
(Known for their intense live presence, PRETEXT have performed at major events including Roskilde Festival, Death Island Festival, South of Heaven Festival, and Kirseberg Festival in Malmö, alongside numerous venues across Denmark and Sweden.
