Rune R. B. Eskildsen is a young media composer and drummer based in Aarhus, Denmark. In 2022 Rune graduated with a Master of Science in Strategic Communication from the School of Business and Social Sciences at Aarhus University.
Rune grew up near the Danish west coast. His interest in music arose during childhood in a home with musical parents and siblings. Rune has been playing the drums since he was three years old and was later introduced to classical music through the Cornet, Trumpet, Cello and French Horn. When Rune was admitted to the Danish College of Orchestral Music in Aalborg, Denmark, he started composing music of his own.
In recent years, Rune has participated in the creation of music for several different projects. From advertisement, podcast jingles and film music to game music and game sound design. Besides composing, Rune is the drummer of the Danish pop/rock band Antiplanet and the renowned neo-progressive rock band Fall of Episteme. Latest, Rune is working as the composer for the PC game Necesse by Fair Games.
Simultaneously, Rune co-founded F.A.R. Away Records, a label and recording studio based in Aarhus. Under which the band Antiplanet. Rune is also engaged with organisational activities as director of the board of Ensemble Hermes, and board member of Game Audio Denmark.
Lastly, Rune is very proud of receiving the ”Young Talent Award” of 2018, from Media Sound Hamburg.
