In recent years, the musician, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Aalborg, Rune Søltoft, has flourished in the Danish underground with a number of different music projects and bands. Under his own name, Rune Søltoft creates music that moves within experimental productions, where conceptual loops and chord progressions combine dynamically with manipulated field recordings, and with the inspiration from both classical and electronic music, it makes the sound image rise into a higher unity .
On Søltoft's latest release "The Quasar Center", which came out in June, Søltoft invites the listener on a journey through 7 atmospheric and evocative tracks, based on various experiences and spiritual thoughts about the inner galaxy, and here GAFFA Denmark signed off with 4 out of 6 stars and compared the track Moon etc. I to Aphex Twin's Drukqs and Hans Joachim Roedelius' solo releases.
The next release from Søltoft is the double single "In Acrylic / Leech", which will be released on 10 November on the newly started record label Outer Village.
Last year Søltoft released his debut 'Connectedness' - an album with six tactlessly composed tracks inspired by many of the small details and compositions between nature and man, and since then he has played support for both Lowly and Steve Gunn & David Moore (Bing & Ruth).
