Skinnerup

SKINNERUP is a Danish producer, musician, songwriter and foto artist. He was born in Copenhagen in 1977. 
He grew up on the island Møn in southern Denmark and moved back to Copenhagen in 1996. 
SKINNERUP is currently located in Middelfart on the island of Fyn. He started playing drums in the late 90's and quickly found a love for playing music. 
In 1995 he discovered the sample based music program FastTracker and with his friends Rolf Jørgensen and Niels Dranov he formed the electro band “Layer Project” and almost 25 years later they released 25 small albums on Bandcamp called “Layer Legacy Projects”. Primarily drum & bass, jungle, ambient, house, techno and weird stuff. SKINNERUP has always created music in his home studio using Logic Pro for the last 15 years. 

He is a self-taught musician and plays all instruments on a very basic level, mostly synthesizer and bass. He is not limited to a genre or a specific style and has created songs in the categories, chill-out, metal, synth-wave, jungle, jazz, funk, indie… SKINNERUP draws inspiration from bands like Air, Carpenter Brut, Massive Attack, Adam F, Tool, Billy Ocean, Inflames, Black Sabbath, David Bowie and much more. If singers want to collab with vocals, a band needs a remix or a muse, SKINNERUP is game In recent years, SKINNERUP has been a part of a music collective with old friends called VEGA Sessions, creating original new music from unplanned jam sessions. His role is mainly keys and producer.
