“You should really consider being on The Bachelor” is something no one has ever said to me. Lucky for me, them and the rest of the world I am good at so many things that have nothing to do with reality tv (and/or dating;)). And one of them is writing songs. Another is producing and performing said songs. A third is to be me. Unapologetically and a hundred percent. Just to mention a few.
I used to say “I write songs that make you cry” and while that might still be true, I've felt called to expand on my brand so it evokes more reactions than just tears. Don't get me wrong - I still value a good cry. But it seems like with age (I was born in 1983 which means I’m now 40+) I’ve gotten a lot lighter of heart and actually have a pretty optimistic outlook on life. So though I still write some very sad songs (and live to make you cry) the next best thing I know is taking the piss.
