Ida Björg Leisin is a singer and songwriter to the core and has been curiously experiencing and portraying life through her own music since age 9, when she first began scribbling down piano pieces.
Since then, she’s delved into electronica, stomp-shows for children, afro-fusion, folk-pop, soul, jazz, and country. Writing alone as well as co-writing, for her own projects and for other artists. In 2017 Ida Björg signed with TG publishing as songwriter for commercial and international artists such as Udo, Loren Nine, Animor and Alejandro Reyes.

As a solo artist idaBjörg sounds like a mix between Tina Dickow, Hozier, and Radiohead.
The interplay of contradictions, be it auditory or human, fascinates and inspire her as songwriter and artist, whose Icelandic and Russian roots add flavors of fragility, drama, intimacy, and grandeur to her musical universe.

idaBjörg has toured both Germany, Spain, North America too mention just a few, and she always skillfully engages audiences with her intense and authentic touch. Through time she’s been sharing stages with Mads Langer, Gurli Octavia and Kajsa Vala. She has also worked as backing vocals for Dawda Jobarteh, Alain Apaloo and Mariah Carrey.

Guitar in hand, idaBjörg brings her sincere songs into people’s living rooms, for intimate, acoustic shows, sometimes spiced with effects that allow her to create beautiful layers of vocal harmonies.
When taking the big stage, she brings along a talented and experienced band that has a way of opening her songs and giving them a new, powerful expression.

After graduating from the rhythmic conservatory and releasing the critically acclaimed album “Uden manual” as one part of the pop-electronic duo Genspejl, Ida Björg plugged out of Copenhagen and into Aarhus. Building a family and a new band simultaneously.

As idaBjörg releasing her solo-debut EP “idaBjörg” in 2015 followed by the album “What to do to feel good” in 2018.
idaBjörg’s next album is expected to be released in 2023, and the first singles are out now.
